Today Herongate went to Laindon Heat and got back on track for their promotion to the Premier.

 Herongate took the lead today through Darrell Conway (0-1) in the first half (around 20 min) but before the half Laindon Heat pulled the pressure back the other way by Equalising and making it 1-1 (around 35min).

 Herongate had to make 2 substitutions in the first half due to injuries which see Bradley Hills make way for Richard Prosper (20min) (who seemed to be his old self again today) who went out to the wing and Jack Chandler move to right back which see man of the match Chris Inglis move into Centre Back.

2nd sub was James Dawes (25min) who gave way for Matt Crouch who had a brilliant game out in left back.

Second Half Herongate was on top form, Billy Thirkettle made it 1-2 (55min) with a curling effort into the top right hand corner,

 Richard Prosper was on hand to make it 1-3 with a solo goal which see him take on the defence and flick over the approaching keeper, go round the keeper and bring it down and walk it into the net.

Herongate dont like leaving a game without drama though and gave away the 8th Penalty in 10 games and 3rd in 2 weeks, this time with Jamie Merralls saving the penalty Chris Inglis followed up to make a last ditch challenge to prevent the rebound going in.
